The SV3X is a powerful portable vibration analysis and field balancing instrument designed for technicians who demand fast, accurate diagnostics on rotating machinery. Whether performing routine condition monitoring, troubleshooting excessive vibration, or balancing a rotor in the field, the SV3X provides the data needed to quickly identify and resolve machinery problems.
The complete balancing package includes the SV3X analyzer, four-channel BNC adapter cable, phase reference marker, dual accelerometers, shaft marking tape, and WinBalance software. Together, these components provide a comprehensive solution for balancing virtually any type of rotating equipment.
The SV3X simultaneously monitors up to two balancing planes while continuously measuring speed, vibration amplitude, and phase angle. It delivers exceptional accuracy, determining running speed to within one-hundredth of an RPM, measuring vibration with more than 80 dB of dynamic range, and resolving phase to within one-tenth of a degree. Capable of tracking rotational speeds from 20 RPM to more than 60,000 RPM, the SV3X is well suited for everything from slow-speed industrial machinery to high-speed precision equipment.
WinBalance is VSC’s PC-based balancing software that transforms vibration data into a clear, intuitive balancing solution. Working with the SV3X and other VSC data acquisition hardware, WinBalance simplifies the process of collecting, analyzing, documenting, and correcting rotor imbalance on virtually any rotating machine.
Designed for both single-plane and two-plane balancing applications, the software guides users through each step of the balancing process while providing instant access to vibration spectra, time waveforms, amplitude, phase, and rotational speed. These diagnostic tools allow technicians to confirm that imbalance is truly the root cause before making correction weights, reducing unnecessary trial runs and improving balancing accuracy.
Beyond balancing, WinBalance serves as a valuable predictive maintenance tool by capturing and storing machine condition data for future comparison and trending. Detailed reports document each balancing operation, allowing maintenance personnel to verify improvements, maintain historical records, and demonstrate equipment condition over time. WinBalance can also operate as a standalone balancing application or integrate seamlessly with VSC’s WinProtect machinery diagnostic software, providing a complete platform for vibration analysis, machinery diagnostics, and precision rotor balancing.
